چکیده

The Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) test, developed in the 1950s, is a classic health research, especially epidemiology and other fields which dichotomous polytomous variables are frequent. This nonparametric test makes it possible to measure check effect of an antecedent variable X on outcome Y, statistically controlling third Z that acts as confounding relationship between Y. Both Y measured qualitative scale polytomous-qualitative or ordinal scale. It assumed homogeneous k strata Z, usually tested by Breslow-Day with Tarone’s correction Woolf’s test. main statistical programs have CMH together verify assumption across strata, so easy apply. However, its fundamentals details calculations mystery most researchers, even difficult find understand. aim this article present these clear concise way, including assumptions alternatives non-compliance. technical knowledge applied simulated realistic example area and, finally, interpretive synthesis analyses given. In addition, some suggestions for report made.

Everything you never wanted to know about polarization--but were afraid you might find out.

Most practitioners of cytometry, whether “flow jocks” or more casual users (“Joe and/or Josie Three-Color”), measure the intensity of scattered light and fluorescence emission in one or more selected wavelength regions, and pay no attention to the degree or direction of polarization of that light. Most of the time, we have gotten away with it. However, the article by Asbury, Uy, and van den Eng...

Everything you never wanted to know about circular analysis, but were afraid to ask.

Over the past year, a heated discussion about 'circular' or 'nonindependent' analysis in brain imaging has emerged in the literature. An analysis is circular (or nonindependent) if it is based on data that were selected for showing the effect of interest or a related effect. The authors of this paper are researchers who have contributed to the discussion and span a range of viewpoints. To clari...

Generalized Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel Test Statistics for Correlated Categorical Data

S Three new test statistics are introduced for correlated categorical data in strati ed R C tables. They are similar in form to the standard generalized Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel statistics but modi ed to handle correlated outcomes. Two of these statistics are asymptotically valid in both many-strata (sparse data) and large-strata limiting models. The third one is designed speci cally for the man...

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Your Process, But Did Not Know How To Ask

The size of execution data available for process mining analysis grows several orders of magnitude every couple of years. Extracting and selecting the relevant data to be analyzed on each case represents an open challenge in the field. This paper presents a systematic literature review on different approaches to query process data and establish their provenance. In addition, a new query languag...
